Tanner Park

This has been a particularly rough week for us, due to school so when we said the words "puppy park" Newton went into a larger than usual excited panic attack. He is amazingly smart because we have had to start spelling the word "walk" instead of saying the word but now he knows what we are saying when we spell it out, so we have reverted to just saying "w" we will see how long it takes before he realizes what we are saying.
Marc and I take a little bit of pride in the fact that Newton gets so much exercise. He spends at least an hour and half outside every day. Most dogs are not well behaved because they don't ever get to release their energy. Its important if you have a large breed to run them and hopefully they a chance to get off their leash. We run him on the Legacy nature trail where there is never anyone so we let him run free. Its great because at the end there is water and lots of birds and open space and Newton chases birds for about 30 minutes at the end. This sort of unrestrained exercise is also mentally healthy and fulfills their need to do "work".
So on the weekends we love to take Newton to Tanner Park. There are tons of big dogs and they love to swim together and wrestle in the fields, its basically dog heaven. They love to run in packs and socialize together. Today I finally took my camera so I could get some pics of the boy, these are mostly of him because all the pictures I took when he's around a bunch of dogs just look like colored blurs

My sweet boy
I was really worried about the water moving so fast today but I think it gave him a better workout.
This one is blurry but I love how he looks at Marc, dad is definitely the alpha. Very hard to shoot animals on manual mode!!!
Working on concentration. We may have a small case of ADHD, in both cases :)

Love this photo with all the water droplets and the rainbow

Very overexposed but here they are rough housing.

Marc has also been working on jumping, Newton is incredible. He has been putting his toys in trees to see how high he can get him to jump. So far we are at about 7 feet.
