So Newton turned 6 months old on the 21st of January. He is exactly 75% of what he will be when he is full grown. He weighs in at about 65 pounds and really is the most sweet dog I have ever known. He absolutely loves kids. Whenever he sees a small child he gets SOOO excited! He will run over to them and lick their faces. Newton has really taught us a lot about unconditional love. When you have a bad day he will just cuddle with you all night.
We have stopped putting him in his crate. He just doesnt need it. He has never had an accident in our house and doesn't chew on anything except his toys. We feel better knowing during the day he can eat and run and play inside. Soon we will get a doggy door for our sliding glass door so he can go outside in the backyard during the day if he wants. One thing we have really enjoyed with Newton is going on walks at night. There are about 4 parks within walkable distance of our house and we walk in a loop to visit all of them.
Newton likes to protect us. If there is a person near our house he will come over and give one loud bark and then look at the door. Even during the night. If he is down stairs he will come upstairs and sit next to our bed. If there is an animal around he will give a bark but its a very quiet ruff. Such a smartie. When we go on walks its usually late at night. Marc will find a stick and chuck it into a huge field and Newton always finds it we think he can smell Marcs scent and thats how he finds it even when its dark and lots of brush. We absolutely love this little guy.

The grossest array of stuffed animals you have ever seen!!! Newton's favorite thing to play with is stuffed animals. We've gone through many. He likes to carry them around the house in his mouth just in case he feels like playing. What a cutie.
