Christmas Love

On of my favorite parts of Christmas is the Fuller family party. The party includes my grandpa Fuller and his 3 brothers and all their kids...its a pretty large group especially if everyone shows up. My great-grandpa Fuller loved the piano and he taught music lessons his entire life. He was very talented and many people in the family are musically inclined....except me I definitely missed that gene pool (however Marc will tell you that I LOVE to listen to piano music). Anyway, there is a family tradition he started to sing Christmas carols every year. We sing about 10-12 but the special one is The First Noel (we sing this last) because my great-grandpa loved that song and his name was Noel. They have been doing this without fail for probably 50-60 years. It always gets me in the Christmas spirit, I can feel the spirit of my great-grandfather so strong (like he is thrilled we are all singing). In fact my grandpa always cries, because he says that time is when the veil is the thinnest for him. I am grateful for Noel Alvin Fuller...he left a great legacy and raised my grandpa to be such a great man. My grandpa basically was my dad growing up, he blessed me, confirmed me, witnessed my sealing, ordained my brother, and was basically our spiritual father figure. Noel had a huge farm in Sugarhouse that now all the streets are named after his kids and grandchildren. Their old house has been completely refurbished and is being used by a small law firm.

They also make Bratsley's (sp?) a Swiss cookie but it tastes nothing like a American cookie. It is so much fun!

Marc isn't in this picture because he had to work! Poor boy!
